กรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ ร่วมกับสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ และศูนย์สร้างสรรค์งานออกแบบเพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อม (Scrap Lab) คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ นำผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก Scrap Lab จำนวน 2 คน และผู้ประกอบการท้องถิ่นไทย เข้าร่วมโครงการส่งเสริมศักยภาพท้องถิ่นไทยสู่สากล (Local to Global) ณ นครซิดนีย์ เครือรัฐออสเตรเลีย ระหว่างวันที่ 17-22 กันยายน 2569

กิจกรรมประกอบด้วย (1) การจัดแสดงสินค้าภายในงานเทศกาลไทย (Thailand Grand Festival 2026) ระหว่างวันที่ 19-20 กันยายน 2569 ณ Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour ณ นครซิดนีย์ ซึ่งได้รับเกียรติจาก นายปานปรีย์ พหิทธานุกร ประธานคณะที่ปรึกษาของรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวง
การต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานเปิดงาน ร่วมกับผู้บริหารระดับสูงของของไทยและนครซิดนีย์ (2) การพบหารือ
กับทีมผู้จัดงานแสดงสินค้าในออสเตรเลียภายในงาน Australian Gift & Homewares Association (AGHA) Sydney Gift Fair 2026 ณ Sydney Olympic Park ร่วมกับผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ นครซิดนีย์ และ (3) การเยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑ์/หอศิลป์ (art galleries) และตลาดนัดสินค้าท้องถิ่น เพื่อศึกษาวัฒนธรรมการใช้ชีวิตและพฤติกรรมผู้บริโภคในนครซิดนีย์ด้วย
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้เป็นการใช้กลไกการทูตเศรษฐกิจโดยการบูรณาการการทำงานกับหน่วยงานทีมประเทศไทย รวมถึงเครือข่ายในต่างประเทศเพื่อสร้างโอกาสการเข้าถึงตลาดต่างประเทศของผู้ประกอบการท้องถิ่นไทยที่มีนวัตกรรมและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ตลอดจนสร้างการรับรู้ การทดลองตลาด และการเชื่อมโยงให้เกิดพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการต่อไป อีกทั้งเป็นการนำเสนอจุดเด่นและศักยภาพของผู้เชี่ยวชาญและผู้ประกอบการไทยที่สามารถผลิตสินค้าที่พัฒนามาจากแนวคิดด้านการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน โดยเฉพาะการนำวัสดุเหลือใช้มาเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่สามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ได้จริง (Upcycle) และ/หรือการรีไซเคิล (Recycle) ซึ่งเป็นการสร้างรายได้ให้แก่ชุมชนอย่างเป็นรูปธรรมและเป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม
The Department of International Economic Affairs Promotes Thai Entrepreneurs with Creatively Environmentally-Friendly Products in Sydney, Australia, through the “Local to Global” Project
The Department of International Economic Affairs, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney, and the “Scrap Lab” under the Faculty of Architecture, Kasetsart University, led 2 academic experts and Thai entrepreneurs to participate in the “Local to Global” project in Sydney, Commonwealth of Australia from 17-22 September 2026.
The project consisted of: (1) showcasing selected Thai local products at the Thailand Grand Festival 2026 from 19-20 September 2026, at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, Sydney, which was presided over by His Excellency Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Chairman of the Advisory Board to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other Thai and Australian high-level dignitaries; (2) meeting with Australian trade fair organisers at the Australian Gift & Homewares Association (AGHA) Sydney Gift Fair 2026 at Sydney Olympic Park, with the Director of Thai Trade Center in Sydney; and (3) visiting museums,
art galleries, and local markets to study the local lifestyle and consumer behaviors.

This project successfully leveraged Thailand’s economic diplomacy through the Team Thailand and its oversea networks to promote market access opportunities for innovative and creative Thai entrepreneurs. It also help raise awareness of Thai products, facilitate market testing, and pave the way for future business partnerships in global markets. Furthermore, the initiative highlighted the strengths and potential of Thai academic experts and entrepreneurs in developing lifestyle products using upcycling and recycling approaches. These efforts not only promote environmentally friendly practices, but also help generate tangible income and economic opportunities for local communities.
